| Rosemarie Seligmann 2001-05-15 Rosemarie (DAmico) Seligmann, 77, of 11 Gelston Road, Sherman, CT, died Sunday, May 13, 2001 at New Milford Hospital. She was the wife of Robert L. Seligmann. Mrs. Seligmann was born in Rochester, New York, February 12, 1924, a daughter of the late Santo and Angelina (Mazzola) DAmico. She was a graduate of the University of Rochester and Eastman School of Music. During her teaching career, she taught in various schools in Connecticut and New York, retiring from the Middlebury, CT school system. Mrs. Seligmann currently served on the Sherman Zoning Board of Appeals, and was a former member and chairman of the Sherman Board of Education for many years. She was active in the Sherman Players, a volunteer at the Sherman Library and an avid bridge player. Besides her husband, Mrs. Seligmann is survived by two sons, Daniel A. Seligmann and Andrew J. Seligmann, both of Sherman; three daughters, Catherine Winter of Watertown, CT, Nancy Schumann of Chelsea, Michigan and Lisa Brazzell of Clinton, Kentucky; one foster daughter, Marta Larrieu-Let of Miami, Florida; a brother, Ret. Col. Donald DAmico of Parkee, Colorado; ten grandchildren, Sarada Marsh, Andrea Linkevich, Damon Brazzell, Bethany Brazzell, Eric Seligmann, Jaime Seligmann, Marilyn Hubbell, Katy DeBeau, Kelvin Seligmann, Teela Seligmann; two great-grandchildren, David and Claire Marsh. A Graveside service will take place Thursday, May 17 at 1 p.m. at the North Cemetery, Church Road, Sherman, CT. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 26 at 10 a.m. at the Sherman Congregational Church. Contributions in her memory may be made to the Sherman Library, P.O. Box 40, Sherman, CT 06784.
